Abstract

Appendixes One-Three follow the article, "Getting to Death: Are Executions Constitutional?" Appendix One contains eight tables specifying a range of information concerning execution methods in the United States, including the following: the methods of execution by state, the author's execution method's test, changing patterns of all execution methods over the last century and a quarter, and types of lethal injection statutes. Appendix Two details post-Gregg botched executions for electrocution, lethal gas, and lethal injection. Appendix Three provides extensive documentation for each change in each execution method for each death penalty state over the last century and a quarter.
