Civil Liberties Advocacy Organizations in Canada: A Survey and Critique
22 Pages Posted: 11 Jun 2008
Abstract
This article offers a comparative look between modern civil liberties advocacy organizations in the United States (primarily the ACLU) and groups in Canada. After examining the different structures and methods used in the American and Canadian models, the article concludes that the current Canadian model is inferior due to a lack of national coordination and an inability to mount test-case litigation.
