Abstract

This Closing Argument summarizes the case presented against President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir of Sudan before an International Citizens' Tribunal for Sudan presided over by Nobel Peace Prize winner Wole Soyinko of Nigeria joined by a panel of African and North American jurists. The defendant was "charged" with genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes in Darfur under the most current theories of individual criminal responsibility under international criminal law.
