Abstract

This paper tries to see Islam as practiced in different parts of the world. It also tries to find out why is the religion being misused by fanatics. Moreover, this article is a treasure house for those who tries to link up Islam with the real interpretation of the holy Koran.

This is a socio-legal perspective to the problems of Islam. This paper tries to look into the deconstruction methodology as to see how and where the misinterpretation is being done. The symbolic logic methodology has been followed. The world has seen several wars and it is also true that religion had a major role to play in each and every war. The fact remains that the concept of Jehad has been mistakenly treated. This paper aims at proving wrong the misconceptions which have been in existence for several centuries.
