Abstract

As a judge, scholar, and civil rights advocate, A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr., spoke often of the need to protect the poor, the weak, and the dispossessed. A powerful voice for justice for over four decades, his contribution was immense and his presence will certainly be missed. In this article, F. Michael Higginbotham, Judge Higginbotham's nephew, examines the significance of his life and legacy.
