Abstract
Judge Aldisert examines the radical differences between the legal systems of the United States and those of the European Continent, based on research and firsthand travel experiences. This article provides detailed description of the French, German, Polish, Yugoslav and Italian legal systems, judicial structure, procedure, and nature of legal practice in each system, and compares each to the American system.
