Abstract

It is common understanding that construction and infrastructure projects are risky by nature. The multiple parties involved in such projects, the various processes to be fulfilled and the environmental and managerial issues to be dealt with are enough reasons for any risk to exist. It is also clear that when dealing with risk it is of great relevance anticipate any events that may lead the project to an unexpected results. Throughout this article we identify and examine the various risks able to materialize in any infrastructure project and those relevant to international construction contracts.
