Abstract

In this article, the author reflects on the history of racial oppression in South Africa, and the beginning of the reversal of this oppression with a new interim constitution in November 1993, and the elections of April 1994. The author served as an assistant in the international mediating effort between the African National Congress, and the Inkatha Freedom Party.
