Abstract

The paper is a masters' thesis in Dutch that describes a protocol for using argumentation in a negotiation dialogue.

Negotiation dialogues for intelligent agents can be enhanced with argumentation moves. Typically, negotiation dialogues for intelligent agents consist of series of argumentation moves; request, offer, reject, accept, and withdraw. By extending the protocol with argumentation moves, agents can question the reasons for certain moves. They may then learn about each other's needs and interests, and improve the negotiation results. .
