Abstract
We consider the problem of measuring social exclusion using qualitative data. We suggest a class of social exclusion indicators deriving the partial orderings associated with dominance for these indicators. We characterize the set of transformations on the distribution of individual deprivation scores underlying the dominance conditions proposed.
