Abstract

In this thesis, European obligations with regard to the implementation of EU law are confronted with the national system of legislation in the Netherlands. Special attention is being paid to mechanisms to speed up national legislative procedures and the preparation and implementation of EU Justice and Home Affairs law. The legal systems of the United Kingdom and Denmark are analysed as well.
