Abstract

An open letter that reflects on the sentiments and advice of Judge A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. to Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is presented. Concerns were raised on Alito's previous judgments on biased trials and his disregard for civil rights. Higginbotham asked Alito to be fair and prevent racial discrimination. He suggests Alito to speak out more decisively on important political and equality issues in the same manner of his predecessor, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
