Abstract

This chapter looks at a few of the major themes of Women and the Law in Australia plus adds some of Easteal’s own recent research findings. These include: Know the glacial landscape; Understand the Indeterminacy of law and the gatekeepers; Be aware of the invisibility of (Effects of) domestic violence; Listen to the ‘full-ranged chorus of women’s voices’; Understand the continuum of credibility; Think ‘outside of the boxes’; Know the ‘gendered’ facts and argue them with experts when possible.
