Abstract
This chapter looks at a few of the major themes of Women and the Law in Australia plus adds some of Easteal’s own recent research findings. The material alludes, as the Chapter title indicates, to the metaphor drawn in Chapter 1 and is presented in the form of ‘tips’ for the reader to integrate and apply. These include: Know the glacial landscape; Understand the Indeterminacy of law and the gatekeepers; Be aware of the invisibility of (Effects of) domestic violence; Listen to the ‘full-ranged chorus of women’s voices’; Understand the continuum of credibility; Think ‘outside of the boxes’; Know the ‘gendered’ facts and argue them with experts when possible.
