Abstract

The history of tort law is ancient. The earliest recorded laws show relatively sensitive tort laws. Misconceptions about tort law and its history affect the integrity and reform of today's tort laws. More research and instruction on the history and foundation of tort law would lead to more reliable administration, evaluation, and reform of tort laws.

Keywords: history, tort law, practice, administration, reform, early, ancient, foundation, evaluation
