Abstract
Harassment always remain a major issue at work place it refer to behavior which, deliberately or otherwise, are hostile and or offensive to the recipient or others and which unreasonably interfere with an individual’s work, academic performance or social life. Prejudice, abuse of power or position is the main causes to spring this behavior any single event, sporadic events or a continuing process can create hostile environment and harassment at work place. Harassment may involve apparently insignificant acts which cumulatively create an intimidating environment that undermines the integrity or dignity of the individual. It can make an individual feel uncomfortable, unsafe, frightened or embarrassed. It is a form of human behavior which is discriminatory and leaves a negative impact on individuals and organizations alike. Almost every one agrees that harassment has no place in the work environment and in society general. It is not new phenomena it has been around for years and a major problem at work place in the UK, harassment can take many forms like a Sexual Harassment, Racial Harassment, Religious Harassment, Disability Harassment, and Sexual Orientation Harassment.
