Abstract

Direct spatial comparison of the economic growth indices is unconstructive because of the catch-up effect which requires some preconditions in order to be taken into proper account. The paper has considered the approach for the correction of the economic growth indices on the basis of the hypothesis of the proportional overlapping of the catch-up effect. These types of the economic growth indices can be used for the spatial comparison of the economic growth in different countries.
