Abstract
The digital ecosystem represents a relatively new concept in the scientific world, being the support of ecosystems in a powerful analogy with the social network or business network. Deriving from the systemic theories of complexity, the digital ecosystems may model the public affairs. The public market represents a subsystem characterised by specific mechanisms for substantiating and ensuring the coherence of decisions.
However, the public market does not reflect the total costs of goods and public services due to incomplete information and complexity of its environment. The current paper aims to conceptualise, describe and present digital ecosystems for public affairs, emphasizing and modelling essential interdependencies between the ecological and the economic side of public affairs.
