Abstract

This article is a reflection from the author on preparing for the 2005 Dispute Resolution Institute (DRI) symposium. The symposium was a conversation about the globalization of ADR. The author analyzes the discussions through a lens of three interconnected themes: (1) social worlds are coming closer together through technology, (2) ideas about American and Western European views of conflict move between social worlds, and (3) accountability and the consequences of globalization of ADR.
