Abstract

The word Raamses is mentioned the bible in connection with three things: a. the place where Joseph settled his family (Genesis 47:11); b. the store-cities built by the Israelites and c. the place from which the Israelite left Egypt and began their Exodus. No where is the name mentioned I conjunction with the Pharaoph, Ramsses II. Nevertheless, he is often speculated as the Pharaoh of the Exodus.

This power point presentation dramatizes these questions and illustrates that the Egyptian records do not justify a claim that Raamsess II was the pharaoh of the Exodus.
