Abstract

Legal education reformers need to be aware of the latest insights in general education research to properly reform legal education and deliver the best possible teaching. Cognitive psychologists have discovered how the brain learns, and education scholars have used this new learning to develop better ways to teach students. These new approaches to teaching and learning apply just as well to legal education as they do to science, medicine, mathematics, secondary education, etc. This paper is intended to show how the insights of general education research apply to legal writing professors.

Keywords: legal education, legal writing
