Abstract

The paper will discuss the history of aviation security encompassing racial profiling; ways of profiling, including the watch list and the Computer-Assisted Passenger Prescreening System (CAPPS II); the cross over between security and civil liberties issues that arise from racial profiling; and where these policies and issues are headed in the future.
