Abstract
On May 14, 1999, the long-awaited Administrative Information Disclosure Law 1) (hereafter “AIDL”) was enacted in Japan. The Appendix stipulates that the law is to come in effect within 2 years. This paper aims to briefly introduce its historical background and review its content.
