Abstract

This short document provides an overview of legislative efforts in the U.S. to criminalize "revenge porn," the colloquial term for nonconsensual pornography. It provides a detailed assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of enacted and proposed state laws as well as a model statute, statistics, and case studies.
