Abstract

Complexity, as this work describes is the sixth competitive force that shapes strategy. In the century of complexity as described by Prof. Hawking, it is necessary to observe strategic challenges from a holistic perspective. Linear and reductionist thinking and models are the main source of strategic problems. This work gives Porter’s Five Forces Model the necessary fundament and substance to observe the world from a holistic perspective by the power of the science of cybernetics, bionics and complexity.
