Abstract

In this review I summarize the main arguments offered in Fatal Indifference, noting the failure of the G8 to promote the health interests of all. I then offer an alternative paradigm of global governance for health that is rooted in Aristotle's political theory and Amartya Sen's capability approach. Finally, I discuss the implications this normative framework has for the G8 and the role the G8 can play moving forward.
