Abstract

This essay describes my personal journey with disability and disability law. I first explain the personal and professional factors that influenced my decision to begin teaching and writing in the disability law area. I then relate the story of my personal life colliding with my professional life when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis seven years ago. Finally, I describe how my personal experience with multiple sclerosis has affected the way I think about disability law issues.
