Abstract

Dutch Abstract: Het beginsel van gelijkheid der seksen is één van de sleutelwoorden in de huidige discussies over internationaal familierecht. In deze bijdrage worden de voorstellingen en praktijken hieromtrent kritisch geanalyseerd. Daarbij wordt de samenhang met zowel restrictief migratiebeleid als met tendensen tot uitsluiting van migranten - zowel mannen als vrouwen - betrokken.

English Abstract: The article provides an analysis of the way the argument of "equality" is "used" in current debates in which Private International Law is involved. Thereby, the connection with restrictive migration policy as well as with tendencies to exclude migrants - both women and men - is discussed.
