Abstract
Carbon trading is a scheme through which countries or firms buy and sell carbon permits as a response to the Kyoto protocol to reduce emissions. Adherence to the designated limit of carbon credit will not only give countries or firms an incentive to reduce pollution and find the most efficient way of dealing with pollution but also give low income countries an opportunity to make themselves better off.
