Abstract
Professor Edward Adams reviews Dinesh D'Souza's Illiberal Education: The Politics of Race and Sex on Campus. Part I of this Review will explore D'Souza's account of this revolution, offering a critique of his major themes and conclusions. Part II will address an alarming product of this revolution-the adoption of speech codes at a number of universities seeking to prohibit certain forms of speech-and the First Amendment issues raised thereby. Finally, this Review concludes by offering a synopsis of recommendations for reforming academia, consistent with traditional notions of the goals of academia and practical reality.
