Abstract
Although we now have a decade of experience in administering the federal statutes enacted to prevent trafficking in women and children and to punish traffickers when detected, American children remain vulnerable to trafficking for sexual exploitation. This Article briefly examines the federal statutory framework for addressing trafficking, particularly domestic trafficking in children, in Part I. It discusses how state statutes are supplementing that statutory framework in Part II. It concludes with a brief discussion of unresolved service issues and legal needs in Part III.
