Abstract

English abstract: An examination of the way the mythical concept of creation out of nothing became a philosophically respectable notion in natural philosophy, and the basis for a scientific cosmological paradigm, mainly through the evolutionary philosophy of Herbert Spencer and his analysis of the multiplication of effects. This also amounts to providing a conceptual genealogy of the well-known 'butterfly effect'.
