Abstract

As well as highlighting how the role of E Commerce as a tool for resource expansion could be enhanced through stakeholder engagement in the corporate reporting process, this presentation aims to identify and justify the most crucial stages of E Commerce – where greater focus and attention should be directed – given the need for protection of vital customer data and information, as well as the need to ensure that the level and quality of information gathered does not contribute unjustifiably to information and implementation gaps in the E Commerce process.

Keywords: corporate governance, implementation gaps, information gaps, payment protection, transparency
