Abstract

This chapter examines how the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Arbitration (the Model Law) has affected arbitration practice in Hong Kong. It also examines measures taken in the region to promote the use of arbitration including training programmes and legislative reforms. It concludes by examining challenges in the implementation of the Model Law and efforts at reform.
