Las prácticas de grado desde la Clínica Jurídica por la Justicia Social de la UPV/EHU (Compulsory External Work Experience Internship from the Legal Clinic for Social Justice of the UPV/EHU)

Abstract

Spanish abstract: La puesta en marcha de la Clínica Jurídica por la Justicia Social en el ámbito de la Facultad de Derecho UPV/EHU, a partir del curso académico 2016/2017 ha supuesto una nueva metodología docente en los estudios de Derecho y de Criminología y también un nuevo modo de aprendizaje que va a permitir a los estudiantes adquirir la condición de instrumento de cambio social, críticos y comprometidos con el mejoramiento social en el que se vive. Sobre la base, no sólo de la revisión bibliográfica, sino también documental y legislativa, el presente artículo pretende abordar esa nueva metodología docente y de aprendizaje desde la perspectiva del desarrollo de las Prácticas externas obligatorias, a través de la Clínica jurídica. Con ello, se persigue delimitar las competencias específicas a adquirir en el desarrollo de esta nueva forma de entender la asignatura Prácticas Externas Obligatorias; asignatura troncal tanto en el Grado en Derecho, como en el de Criminología de la Facultad de Derecho de la UPV/EHU.



English abstract: The setting-up of the Legal Clinic for Social Justice within the Faculty of Law of the Basque Country University (UPV/EHU) in the academic year 2016/2017 has brought along a new teaching methodology in Law and Criminology, as well as a new way of learning that will enable the students to become agents for social change, critical and committed with the improvement of the society in which they live. In the face of the above, this paper aims to look at this new teaching-and-learning methodology as applied to the mandatory external internships at the Legal Clinic. After doing this, the goal is to define the specific competences that should be acquired within this new understanding of Mandatory External Internships, which is a core subject of both the Law degree and the Criminology degree at the Faculty of Law of the Basque Country University.
