Abstract

This paper examines the Labour government's proposal to radically change the existing unwritten constitutional settlement in the United Kingdom, by removing the judicial function from the House of Lords and vesting it in a new Supreme Court for the United Kingdom, and the consequences that may have for the British approach to judicial review and the doctrine of Parliamentary Sovereignty.
