Abstract

Not so long ago, the CFO's job was limited to financial record keeping, but now he is one of the top decision-makers - often a leading member of the top management team along with the chief executive officer (CEO) and the chief operating officer (COO).

More and more frequently the broad responsibilities of the CFO qualify him to become CEO. This article describes the expanding responsibilities of the modern CFO.

Keywords: CEO, CFO, COO, chief financial officer
