Ninety Years of the Iowa Law Review: The Personalities, Policies, and Events that Shaped a Tradition in Iowa Legal Education

Abstract
The Iowa Law Review is one of the oldest law journals in the country. Professors Bezanson and Boyd trace the history of the Review from its beginning in 1891, often through the stories of and by Deans and Faculty Advisors and Editors. Major events and developments in the history of the Law Review and American legal education are traced over the Review's 90-year-life, leading to the Review's part in the development of a uniquely writing-based curriculum at the Iowa College of Law in the 1960s, under the leadership of Dean David Vernon.
