I am currently working on the development of risk analysis software to apply Monte Carlo simulation to financial models with ease and no compromises in terms of features for both modelling and reporting capabilities, (www.riskease.com).
I am also researching what I call "the disconnect of funding from productivity" amidst the financialisation of the real economy. A host of financial intermediaries are using a basically flawed financial system to try to deliver on a promise for a return without the risk. In practise, this elusive quest inevitably distorts the proper and efficient functioning of capitalism and deforms the real economy. It has now become a systemic process that the world suffers from and which piles up unproductive debt and leads to recurring financial and economic crises. Moreover, the relentless pursuit for the Holy Grail for a "return without the risk" slows down growth and impedes economic development by shifting focus from wealth creation to wealth transfer.
