Abstract

Microinsurers exercise several roles, all of them requiring data.' The focus here is on the data necessary in the relationship between reinsurer and microinsurer. In this context, the main purpose of a statistical and accounting framework is to provide the data required to operate the reinsurance model. This chapter defines this cluster of data. The framework also provides microinsurers with the information they need to fulfill their other roles.
