Abstract
In this paper we will see the relationship between entrepreneurship and unemployment for OECD case from 1990 to 2005.
The Methodology is based in Statistical data from OECD from 1990 to 2005 and for analyse the evolution of entrepreneurship I will consider the statistical data about self-employment in OECD.
We concluded that the ambiguity of the relationship between entrepreneurship and unemployment is showed in OECD region during the period from 1990 to 2005 that is due to different scenarios between countries and this relationship depends of environment where the entrepreneurial activity occurs. And if there are policies to stimulate the entrepreneurship during the unemployment we will see the linkage between both sujects, but if these policies are not defined and implemented, we will not see the relationship between both subjects.
Also we concluded that if is acknowledgeable the utility of entrepreneurial for development of a country that why not define policies to stimulate it in countries where a low rate of entrepreneurship is visible? Here could be defined some educational programmes to stimulate the entrepreneurship in countries with a low level of this activity, but this is not means that in countries where the level of entrepreneurship is higher could not be defined policies to increase this level, it should yes to stimulate the entrepreneurial activity in sectors where this activity is weak developed such low taxes for entrepreneurs that develop their activity in regions with high level of unemployment.
