Computer Art in the (Former) Soviet Bloc

Abstract
Presents early digital art in the late Soviet era. Argues that Soviet art production was deformed by the corruption of the communist party but nonetheless was a pioneering effort to implement the idea of modernity, common to both capitalism and socialism of progress through technology.
