Abstract
In this case series (see also the B [UVA-OB-0592] and C [UVA-OB-0593] cases), Bob Bellhouse is promoted to general manager and asked to turn around the public-telephone business of New York Telephone. He is confronted with increasing competition, poor morale, significant financial losses, severe vandalism, and a traditional mind-set. A CD-ROM with clips describing several aspects of the department accompanies the series (UVA-OB-0591M).
