Abstract

Viewed with one eye, K-12 education appears simple. Children start school in kindergarten and move from grade to grade for 13 years. Each of us has "gone through it." But when viewed with the other eye, we see a cultural anachronism that is relatively unchanged since the Greeks and Romans. Compared to other segments of our society - information technology and commerce, for example - education continues to operate as a hunting and gathering society.

The paper applies the technologies of Business Intelligence and Dashboards that are commonplace in the Corporate Sector to update practices in the Education Sector.
