Abstract

This paper includes a reference list of literature relating to barriers in adult learning. This literature also correlates difficulties and barriers in technology involved in learning for adults. In general, the literature seems to indicate that there are barriers to learning, to teaching and to the technological uses within learning. As older adults combat the image of learning, the stereotypes about older adults and technology, and continue to succeed and advance in areas of learning and technology usage, younger adults in middle age brackets are looking for the means to continue expanding their abilities and knowledge base as well by overcoming barriers and new job skills themselves.
