Assessing Social-Cultural Factors Affecting Identity Crisis of the Youth in Iran

Abstract
Identity crisis is indeed today's most important societal damage in Iran which is fully obvious in social relations and cultural, economical, political and even international interactions. Thus, identity is known as one of the major elements of social and cultural processes which is formed and settled through a time (the period that we are in) and place (our geographical condition) realm.
This research has mainly concentrated on this question: What have been the social and cultural factors that have encouraged our teenagers and young adults to leave national cultural models for western cultural models‘ In other words, the lack of which cultural and social needs have led to identity crisis among our young generation‘.
To find the answer to this question, the researcher has initially stated the subject, defined identity and its various kinds and also theories, indexes and the results followed by identity crisis in Iran have been mentioned. Then comes along the analytic method through which this research has been done and the goals, questions and hypotheses of the research. Finally, the conclusion of the research has been given.
