Abstract
The paper analyses the impacts of tourism on jobs and incomes in Bulgaria. Direct and indirect impacts of four tourism characteristic activities are calculated - hotel and restaurants, passenger road and rail transport, passenger air and water transport, and auxiliary transport services and travel anegcies. Results show that tourism generates predominantly low paid jobs, with salaries in public tourist companies much higher than in private firms. Interindustry impacts of tourism are concentrated in only few activites (like agriculture, retail trade and production of electricity among others) which means that tourism does not have very good connections with other industries in terms of creation of indirect jobs and incomes (report in Bulgarian).
