Abstract
How effective can the defences of Insanity, Mental Retardation or Youth be against the Death Penalty in the United States?
This work looks at the attitude of the courts in the United States in the administration of the Death Penalty, on those defendants who used the above defenses to try to avoid capital punishment. This work may be of help to those interested in studying Capital Punishment as a system of permanent removal of offenders from society. This work can be of use for those who study sentensing and death penalty activists alike.
