Abstract
In this paper it will be attempted to show econometrically that electronic commerce (e-commerce) has a positive impact on economic growth at country level, since e-commerce promotes sales (and thus consumption), that in turn improves company performance, thus causing ultimately economic growth. Panel data are taken from Eurostat, cover Western European countries for the period 2003 - 2006 and are elaborated using the Eviews software package.
