Abstract
This book is part of a series that seeks to promoteentrepreneurship by exploring new ideas and research practices. Thevolumetakes up and applies ideas from anthropology and literary studies, new theoretical stances such as poststructuralism, postmodernism, and feminism, and especially new explorations of the "linguistic turn" found innarrative and discursive approaches. Three key questions are addressed: (1) How do narrative and discursivepractices work in entrepreneurship studies? (2) What are the consequences forentrepreneurship of adopting new language-based approaches? and (3) How canscholars be inspired and motivated by these approaches? These questions reflectan interest in metaphor and the cultural and social context of organizing.Entrepreneurship is seen as a social rather thana business process; it isembodied in stories and self-narratives. The anthology concludes with threeresponse-essays to the book as a whole.
