Abstract
This essay briefly describes the main characteristics of the concept that professor Günther Jakobs calls Criminal Law of the enemy. Then, this concept is compared to the concept of a chimera, in order to find out if the Criminal Law of the enemy is a mere description based on unreal elements or if, on the contrary, it could become a future model for maintaining public safety. Finally, it highlights the need to reflect on the future of Penal Law that regulates considering dangers instead of liberties
